11.16--Happy 1/2 Anniversary!

November 16, 2010, marks our 1/2 anniversary.

I asked Jackie if she could come over and make a cake for such a special occasion. She said yes, and invited some other helpers...her sister, Rosie, Es Bossert, and Adam Bossert.

What would I do without this girl?

Not have a cake, yeah?

Our not cat, Berny, visiting!

Rosie and Es helped too! Thanks, girls!

Misc. Hip pics

Here are some o' the pictures after I got my stitches out!

I added the tape fir a li'l extra protection

Pretty, Right?

When I went to take the tape off it pulled the steri-strips off as well.

See? FOUR Steri-Strips!!

It's a li'l bruised.

They were able to use the same incision site as last time.

They just added 1.5 more inches...

Look...it's getting better!!! YAY!!!

Here are some random pictures from my surgery.

Jackie Andrews stopped over to our house to do some stuff for me.

Ace made her a wonderful dessert...

HOT Apple Pie...ice-cream...even a few cashews.

My calendar...filled with things to do!!

Mama Finnegan sent me some magazines!!

Rachel Brubaker wrote my gram a b-day card!

I thought it was just so sweet!!

I didn't take many pictures though, it was a rough recovery. Physical therapy is going well and I'm working hard to get myself back to my "normal" self! Lots o' rest and TONS o' icing my hip!! Praying soon, I'll be able to go running and leaping and praising God!! <--I love that song!! (:

Dear Sweet Cassi...

This li'l girl is so stinkin' precious and Ace and I just love her to death. So one afternoon she came over to our house, and we had the pleasure o' babysitting her for the afternoon and evening.

Yes...this was a really BIG flower...

See it's as big as our heads!!

Climbing up for picture in the tree...

Such a doll...my fav picture o' us.

Yes...we made it up the tree...

We are dressed the same and doing the same pose.

Looking for bugs down in the tree hole...

Ace lifting her up to see inside...any bugs?

Jumping out o' the tree to Ace...

What a good catch...love her face here...

She was most likely screaming and/or giggling...

Next we threw rocks into the river...

(4.21) Race for Education

Calvary Christian Academy
@ Detwiller Field

Every year, Calvary Christian Academy (my all-ma-mater) has a school wide race to raise money for the school. Each student has one hour to run as many laps around the track as they can run. Students send out letters to friends, family, etc... to be a sponsor or to just donate a flat rate. Haha...hope that was understandable. Joyce, my babysitter, has two lovely girls that go to CCA so she thought it'd be good for me to get out o' the house. I personally thought it'd be great to get the stink blown off o' me!! It was a particularly cool day, so I had to be sure to dress warm!!
Warm soccer socks were a HUGE plus!

Dressing the surgical site...it has to be warm too!

Ready to get the stink blown off me!!!

Earl was at the race too...he was dressed super warm!

Was watching some cute li'l kid playing ball...

When each student run laps around the track, they get a rubber band to put around their wrist for each lap that they have completed. At the end o' the race they count up their rubber bands.
A mother counting the "laps" ran.

After Becca ran her race, she dumped water all over her shirt...what a nut case!! She did really good on running on her laps. I'm pretty sure she ran 16 laps!!
She wouldn't smile for a good picture.

My buddy, Weston!!

Breanna taking a li'l break!

My dear sweet sister, Ashley!!

My best buddy ol' pal, Elise!

Gotta have a silly picture, duh!

Everybody praying before they run their laps.

More praying...

The organizer...TERRY SNARE!

Everybody did a great job, and they were able to raise lots o' money! Ashley burnt her face really bad, so bad that they formed blisters. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures o' her face for my blog.
