It was so awesome that we could finally have a reunion. It'd been a long time since we've been all able to get together and enjoy being together as a family!! YAY...for family!! Julie and I orchestrated the reunion by making sure we had all the food...ok, Julie did all that!! (:

The Patrick House

It’s about that time o’ year again,
We will all meet up July 9 and 10.
The “shin-dig” will be held at the Patrick House,
A black snake may join us to snack on a mouse.
We’ll eat at noon, so please bring some food.
The Family’s together...”Let’s Party Dude!!”
So bring your sleeping bag, you can stay the night.
A big breakfast will be cooked; it will be quite a sight.
With Belly’s full, we will all gather ‘round.
There will be preaching & singing as we sit on the ground.

So we sent those out!! The line about the black snake was reminiscing when we all spent the night in the Patrick House. We were all ready for bed and all the li'l cousins got together for a game o' Hide-&-Seek. The adults all sat around the fire talking and laughing. Next there was screaming and panic yells coming from the upstairs bedrooms. Four li'l boys came running out o' the room. Upon further investigation my father found a BIG black snake hiding in the closet along side Johnny, Jesse, Andrew, and Timmy. Poor kids got a scare as they were hiding in the dark closet and felt something moving beside them. Haha...My dad had brought his gun with him (You may be asking yourself, "Self, why did dad bring his gun to a family reunion." Or maybe the question is...why didn't you think o' that idea for your family renunion. It's my father!!)...and he shot the snake. Ah...such fond memories...traumatic...but oh so wonderful!! (:
The night before the reunion, Lindsay (Johnny's girlfriend) came over to our new house we just bought and helped me cook some food for the reunion.
We made cupcakes...with GREEN centers...

I must explain this next picture to you--
We made a game that we could ALL play. We made a cupcake for EVERYBODY that was going to be at the reunion. On top o' that person's cupcake, was a picture o' something that described them. The game was that they had to guess which cupcake was there...it was a li'l bit harder than it sounds. Lindsay and I had SOO much drawling the pictures...if you even want to call it drawling!! (:

Saturday night after story time as Jesse, Lindsay, and Cassi were leaving the boys found a huge hoola-hoop! The boys tried jumping thru it as it rolled down the hill as Cassi and Cody would chase after it. Then Cassi and Cody would bring the hoop back up to me. Well, Jesse took the hoola-hoop and was going to throw it down the hill and it hit Cassi...right in the schnaze!!
