12.25--Finnegan Christmas

Merry Christmas Time!!

Ace and I arrived to the Finnegan Fort Christmas Eve around lunch time. Because I had just gotten discharged from a week-long hospital stay the night before, I admit, I copied some o' Becky's pictures for this post. It was a li'l sad when I'm too sick to take pictures...

Hannah decided to help me take some pictures...

Auntie Jill, is it this button?

Yup...she found the picture taking button!!

Hannah's a pro now, just like her mommy.

The next pictures are courtesy o' Hannah Grace...

Mom F excited for everyone to open their gifts.

A Blurry Seth...

Dad F...he is so silly...can you tell?

"Uncle Adam, make a silly face!!"--Hannah

"Auntie Jill, make a pirate face!"--Hannah

Poor Uncle Adam fell asleep...

For Christmas Eve, we drove 30 minutes to the Christmas Eve Service.

Isn't it simply marvelous?!?!

The Christmas Eve Service was wonderful; however, during one o' the special songs a duet sang, they had a powerpoint/video presentation that went with the song. The video portrayed clips o' "The Passion o' Christ." For me personally, it was a li'l too bloody for a Christmas service. Seth had to cover Hannah's eyes cause she didn't like it (Auntie Jill had to cover her eyes too!).

The service was good though, and it was definitely a different point o' view from what we normally are exposed to in the "traditional Christmas Eve Services"

Drove passed a house with lots o' Christmas lights.

Uncle Adam playing the zoo with Isaac.

"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree..."
One o' the kid-let's favorite Christmas toys...

Soon after the Christmas Eve Service, my eyes could no longer stay open. The heaviness o' my eyes overcame my will to try to stay up, so eventually Adam carried me into bed.

Christmas morning we were all planning on going to church together; however, this girl felt so sick and tired that she just could NOT make it to the service. I slept for close to 18 hours. After eating lunch, it was nap time for the kid-lets (and Auntie Jill too) before we headed off to Pa & Gran's house for Christmas dinner and presents.

Yes, I taught my darling this face...

Auntie Jill and Hannah.
She was soo excited about taking a picture with this bear.

Jill Tradition...Silly Faces!! Haha...

Aren't we just the cutest thing y'all ever did see?

I'm not really sure where this bruise came from...

It looked like a bruise; but it didn't hurt...at all.

Hmmm.....?

That's right, Auntie Jill encourages silly faces!! (:

Becky and Isaac...
...waiting to open up their presents...

Here we go...what do you think you get?!?

Aww...this li'l guy sure isn't a baby anymore...

We had trouble getting him to look at the camera.

Later Christmas Day, we got a "surprise" visit from the Lucas family. The Lucases used to live around Gram-Ma & Paw-Paw, they are not blood relatives, but might as well. They have 5 kidlets--Samantha(12), Hunter (11), Ty(3 or 4), and 2-year old twins Housten (Hooty) and Kate. So Jenn certainly has her hands full...for sure. Samantha and Hunter were in both Seth and Becky's wedding and Cody and Erica's wedding. So it was super fun to see everyone. I'd never met them, but Samantha is a gymnast so we've texted and talked quite a few times!!

It was so much fun to meet them and get to spend so much time with them. They traveled all the way from Indiana to hang out with everyone!! How happy we all were that they decided to make the 6-7-hour drive!

Later that evening after eating supper all together, Seth and Becky, as well as Cody and Erica headed back home to Michigan!! Yes, during that time there were 9 grandkids present at one time...7 o' those kids were 4 and under!!!

Here is Samantha...she's such a cutie!!

Samantha, Ty, Kate, and I played Legos.

The next morning the Lucases had lots o' presents to open from Gram-Ma and Paw-Paw!!

A snuggly Hooty in the morning...

I just love Kate's smile...don't you?

...Ty and Hunter...
Orange Teeth...WHAT?!?!

So Ty had this huge crush on me. He had such a hard time remembering my name. Not really sure why because it's a 4 -letter, 1-syllable, short name to remember!! So he referred to me as, "That girl!" ...or... "The girl with the ___ color shirt/sweatshirt!"

The kids usually got up between 7-8, and I didn't get up till closer to 10. The kid-lets had those few hours to wonder when we would actually awaken! I was told that Ty would ask, "Where is that boy and that girl?" Where the reply was always, "They are still sleeping!!" (Yes, I did A LOT o' sleeping during this vacation.

Me and my li'l buddy with our orange smile!!

For supper later that evening, we went to Beer Barrel!!

Beer Barrel is pretty much my favorite place EVER!!!

Cute li'l Samantha...we tried to take lots o' pics!

Yup, I'll take credit for this idea...they loved it!

Alas, it was time for them to leave...but not before "Group Picture"!!

So here we go...

Hooty all smiles and ready to go...

...now He's not so ready for the picture time...
(...sorry it's blurry...)

Everyone getting in their seats...

Hooty was pretty much done at this point.

Guess we'll have to take this side-profile picture!

Saying bye to my buddy, Ty!

When Ty was getting in his car he yelled out, "Bye Jill, I love you!"

Now...if that doesn't melt your heart, I don't know what will!!!

Saying bye to Hunter...BYE HUNTER!!!

Kids gone...Nap Time!!!

What a super fun Christmas. It was so nice to see everyone!

Too bad we don't get together more often and we all lived closer!

We had a great Christmas with family and friends!!

Aren't they just the best!?!

THE END!!!
