12.31--McCracken Christmas

McCracken Christmas Time

We arrived at Doug and Heidi's house for Christmas, yay!!

Walking in, I yelled, "Auntie Jill is here!!!!"

...I hear Caden whispering..."hide...hide...hide"

I see those li'l peepers, Caden!!

Next it was time for some lunch!

Uncle Johnny and Auntie Lindsay arrived...

So Auntie Jill and Auntie Lindsay fixed lunch...

TOASTED CHEESE & TOMATO SOUP

MMMmmm....GOOD!

...and Caden Helped!!!

What gorgeous sandwiches!!!

Next it was....

BATHTIME!!!!!

Look what came out o' the bathroom...

A cute, li'l, clean Viking!!!

Boys did some rearranging to do some fixing stuff.

Doug yells up, "Honey, can you throw a towel down the steps?"

My 8-month preggers sister gets to this picture below and yells back...

"Honey, I can't FIT into the kitchen!!!"

We all went to bed for tomorrow would be...

"Christmas Morning"
...at least for all McCrackens!!

Caden telling me it was not yet time to open the presents.

Auntie Jill, you have to wait!!

Linds and Johnny arrived, looking EXCITED!!

We opened presents, to which I for some reason have no pictures o', I'll see what I can steal from somebody else's camera....or phone! We were obviously just having too much fun!!

Here's the "brief" rendition...everybody got underwears and socks!!
(Get it? Brief? Underwears?)

Oh, except Adam didn't get socks and he was REALLY sad.
(Li'l did he know I had gotten him 2 jumbo packs o' socks!)

Johnny and Linds were VERY crafty this year for their Christmas presents. They went to the craft store (I think Michael's). They bought a TON o' crayons...glued them on the one side o' the canvas and with a hair dryer melted the wax from the crayons...making a GORGEOUS picture.

...for Mom they added purple flowers...
...Mom's favorite...flowers & purple...

Blue & purple crayons...rainy day picture...
Their present for Me and Adam...

It was TOY STORY TIME!!!!

Uncle Adam helped Woody get ready...

Isn't this the cutest cowboy you ever did see?

The OUTLAW...look at those ornery eyes!!

More playing with Christmas presents...

When we were li'l we were really into HOT WHEELS, ramps, tracks, etc... so this year all the boys got a special Hot Wheel car that described them...

Jesse...a Mini Cooper

Jason...a Jeep

Johnny...a station wagon
(representing his Eagle)

Then everybody opened up their TRACKS!!

We hooked them all together....

...but not before Caden modeled them for us...

Lindsay helped Caden put the cars down the ramp.

Look at them go...
Caden loved playing with them...

For supper Johnny and Lindsay made terriyaki wings...

Two o' the three crock pots filled with wings...

...with...
Broccoli/Cauliflower Casserole and Green Bean Casserole.

Johnny's wings were too hot to eat...

Everyone had received their food...

...we had prayed for the food...

...we all began eating our food...

This is what Caden did...

Sat with his hands still folded waiting for his food.
...watching everybody else dig in...poor child!!!

After supper....

The boys watching the Tom and Jerry DVDs.
(which were Dad's present from Johnny and Lindsay)

Oh they were just laughing and laughing...

Dad grew up watching Tom and Jerry about 77+ years ago.
...yet, all those years later...
Dad remembered exactly what happened next...

Auntie Jill wanted a picture o' her and Caden...

Caden wouldn't look at the camera...

Caden sure loves kisses from Auntie Jill...

Let the rough-housing BEGIN!!

*ding*...*ding*....*ding**

Still fighting...

It was a tough battle...

Caden's turn...

...who do you think is winning?

Lovin' on Uncle Johnny...

Up high in the sky...

Pappy 'Cracken playing with Caden's present...

We played Battle o' the Sexes...

Then it was time for everyone to go home...

Bye, li'l Brudder!!!

Johnny and Lindsay had a New Year's Party to go to..

Caden said bye to them...

The next morning...

...it was time for Uncle Adam and Auntie Jill to go home!!

We hit the 18,000 mile mark on our new car!

We finally got home...

...only to find...

Bernadette had missed us...

She was excited to see us home!!

While we were away for the vacation, we had Jac (one o' our neighbors/family who goes to our church) get our mail. We told them they could visit anytime, watch tv, spend the night, whatever they wanted to do. They are such a sweet family!! I love them all to death!!! (:

When we walked inside we sawl this...

Cookies that said...Welcome Home!

Our mail was sorted into different piles...

Ace.... .....Jill.... ......Both....

Our Tree & Stockings were so homey!!

Finally Home!!!

Merry Christmas to US!!!

THE END!!!
