(9.10)--Wedding Bells

September 10, 2011
9.10.11

Greg and Tessa Boyles

Tessa is my cousin-in-law...is that a thing? Haha...or Cousin Tessa? Well whatever her title is, she's so sweet. It's been fun getting to know the extended family better. Again, sure do wish we lived closer so that we could hang out more.

Tessa, who is a medical assistant at a doctor's office, is very outgoing, personable, and 100% a "people person", which makes all o' her patients (and coworkers) pleased. Greg loves hunting and works in the family business...Fat Jack's Pizza. Tessa worked as a waitress at Fat Jack's where guess who was her boss?? Yup, Greg. That's how they met.

The wedding was held at Greg's parent's home, which was absolutely breath-taking as you can see from the pictures below!!

The Deck with a Pond View

The Youngest Finnegans

I love this guy...

I couldn't resist...Hehe...

Dad and Mom Finnegan

Aww...so happy and still in love...

This was our table...#13

Yeah, somebody was sick o' pictures....

The Bridal Party

Tessa and Greg Boyles

The absolutely delicious supper included:

BOTH Steak & Chicken
Mashed Potatoes
Corn

When we sat down at our table #13, there were two bags with names sitting on the table. One said "Jack" the other said "Jill". I noticed that there was a bag for all the li'l children that attended the reception. The bag was filled with different fun children toys (bouncy balls, footballs, dolls, etc...). I asked the family sitting at our table if they had a "Jill" in their family. They said, "No, we have Jack." So it was then that I realized Tessa (Aunt Di and Canon) put together a bag just for me. They weren't sure if I would be able to eat whatever they were serving, so they knew I loved pickles and pretzels...

...and that what was in my bag...

The awesome bottle cooler holder
(Yeah, don't know their real name!)

"The Hunt is Over!!"
Wanna bet Greg the Hunter picked this out?

Seth Dancing with his Mama...

How precious is this?

Grandma enjoying some "Eli Time"

Sweet Canon (Bride's li'l sis)

Sunday Lunch!!

We all went out to eat after church.

This picture makes me happy...

Silly Face Picture...

Hannah took this picture.
...gotta start 'em out young...

After lunch, everyone parted their separate ways to go home.

Some people just wanted to get home...fast!

Po-Po's made sure everyone was driving safe.

People were getting pulled over left and right...

...and then, more...to the right...

It was a privilege to watch Greg and Tessa vow to love and cherish each other for the rest o' their lives. How exciting!! It made me reminisce to our wedding...what a joyous occasion! Out on the dance floor, it was so much fun to slow dance with my wonderful husband. It reminded me how I'm the luckiest girl in the whole word!!

THE END!!!

2.17--Ohio Birthday

Adam's Surprise Birthday Trip!
February 16-20, 2011.

For Adam's birthday he got a paid day off o' work! We all should have a paid birthday day off! So we left and drove to Ohio where all o' us family were going to throw a surprise birthday party!

Off to Ohio...
Goofing around in the car...

I'd wave and smile at everybody we passed.

This is such a fun exit to say....WOOSTER!

It was a LONG ride...

Me waving at a truck as we passed it!

Poor Adam...

Adam is rolling his head here...

Me flirting with the truck drivers...

Poor, poor Adam...

As the truckers would drive by, I'd smile at them and show them the orange in my mouth. They'd laugh and wave or honk their big trucker horn...they probably thought I was 14 years old!!
More flirting...they'd wave too!

Eating a carrot...

The sun was trying to shine through...

Finally we got to Ohio, which set into motion the birthday plans...

In the morning, we headed off to "go shopping"...

Sweet Isaac ready to leave for the party.

Adam thought we were going shopping.

The ride was a bit long for li'l Isaac.

Haha...poor li'l guy trying to sleep and I take pictures.

After shopping, we left cause I was getting hungry...

So off to Fat Jack's Pizza
Adam's family knows the family that owns Fat Jacks. So it made the perfect place for everybody to meet up. We walked in and low and behold there was Gran & Pa, Nana & Papa, Cody & Erica & Eli, Uncle Dave and Aunt Di, Canon, Tessa, Uncle Ron & Aunt Brenda, Aunt Evelyn, all the family! They were all sitting in a section waiting for us to walk in the door and then they yelled, "SURPRISE!!" Adam was very much surprised and it was so fun!

Erica and Eli...

Bad picture, but Seth, Becky, Erica, Hannah...

Adam's birthday cake...
...absolutely LOVE Isaac's face here...

PaPa with his boys...Eli a li'l grumpy.

This one is a li'l better.

The birthday boy!! (:

Erica's sign...Happy Birthday, Adam!!

You are never to young to text.

The cutest crooked smile you ever did see.

Seth and Becky were supposed to go to a ski trip (which is where Adam thought they were), but the trip got canceled so they were able to come to surprise Adam!
What a NICE surprise.

Papa and Nana Finnegan!

Papa and Isaac...

Adam's "don't take my picture" face!

The next day, we had a birthday party for all the February and March birthdays...Adam, Hannah, Cody, and Me! YEAH for birthdays and family!

Hannah put the candles on the cake.

Can you guess which candle is for me?
Yup...the green candle!!

The Trip Home...
Every time we travel home from Ohio it rains, snows, sleets, hails, or something! So why should we have expected this trip home to be any different!
When we started home it was sleeting.

All o' our luggage...
It's a good thing we don't have kids, we'd have no where to put them!

Bathroom stall...funny story!
Had to take a picture because some li'l girl walked in on some old lady in the handicap stall. It was super funny cause the lady was saying, "I thought I locked the door! I'm not as young as I used to be!" I just laughed and laughed! Never a dull moment!

Still sleeting...

Li'l sleet balls...

Just thought this sign was funny.

All sorts o' goodies...

Waiting at the rest station...

Watching it sleet outside...

It's kinda cool lookin'...

This gum was good!

Because o' the weather there were a lot o' wrecks:

We were only going 20-35 mph...

Some girl spun off into the grass...

...3 car accident in the other lane...

...lots o' ambulances...fire trucks...and EMT personnel...

This girl sped passed us earlier...

Stupid young drivers...

Look at the ice on the mirror...

A car flipped on it's roof right in front o' us...

It was starting to pile up...
...we continued passing wreck after wreck...

Two-car wreck along the berm...

As it got dark the weather got worse.

It started to pour down rain...

...then a snow blizzard...

...snow began to pile up...

...we kept driving slower and slower...

Snow...snow...and more snow...

...now driving 10-15 mph...

My phone died...the last 30 minutes...
...when I turned it on...9 new text messages.

It was also FREEZING in our house!

Adam was surprised!

It was a great birthday and visit with family!

The 6-hour drive took 10 hours!
Wish family lived closer!

THE END!!!
