10.10.10--Cycle Ride

You guessed it, yup, another cycle ride!! The day was warm, not hot, the sun was mostly behind the clouds, so it was freezing for me!! Haha...You will see how I was really "bundled" up. We went on a ride up to Raystown Lake. The one part o' the Lake is called the point, and then a lil farther down is "The Spill Way", which is where they let the water out more or less. What a great day for a ride. The green leaves all over the hills, were dabbed with red, orange, and yellow as the colors are starting to change.

Whindy Roads.

More curvy roads...

Last time, Ace and I were at this place, the Park Ranger yelled at us, cause apparently you can't be out at the over look past like 8:30 p.m. Pretty crazy!

The Point.

More o' the Point.

The Dam.

Oh Look, Me in the mirror...and the Dam.

See that dip where the trees aren't there?
That is where "The Point" picture was taken.

That's where we just were.

Uncle Chucky...

Out by the Spill Way.

The pagoda...wonder how they made that roof.

Adam taking random pictures...

I'm Flying...like on The Titanic.

The big boat, gave the li'l boat a head start.

A Pretty Tree.

US...

We Look GOOD!

The Spill Way.

This is the spill way. They let that thing down and then the water spills down those slide looking things. So that is pretty much how it works. My dad's house that he grew up is under the Lake. There are lots o' stories about many houses and dead bodies that are under the lake o' people that didn't want to leave; however, that's just a story. Anyway, Ace learned a lot about Raystown Lake! WAHOO for Chucky and Decker knowing SO much about the lake and the history, etc...
A Close Up o' the Spill Way.

US...Riding...

The Green Mountains dabbled with color.

Our Shadow, riding our Honda Shadow!

The mountains, trees, and golden fields.

More o' the fields...

Trees...

Ok, so I had gum and this is me spitting it out while we were driving. I tried to get a picture o' me spitting it out and it being in the air. So...can you see the glob o' gum?
Spitting...

I think the trees look cool...and so do I!!

Love this too...so many great pictures.

Leg/Feet Picture...

So much fun!

Go to the light...

You can see Decker's front bike wheel on the far left.
Decker left the pack and went home.

10.9--Hartslog Day

Hartslog day is a big deal around here. It's located in Alexandria, PA. Many people bring there handmade items, baked goods, and miscellaneous junk that they want to sell.
US...at the beginning o' Hartslog Day.

Here is a list o' things that they had at Hartslog Day:
  • Old man faces whittled in deer antlers.
  • Candles/sprays/smell goods.
  • Wooden Boxes that opened secretly.
  • Wire Trees.
The following are pictures o' trees (obviously), but they are made from wire. These creations were probably my absolute favorite. They were so unique, aren't they?
Willow Tree.

Tree with Flowers (jewels).

Tree in the Wind.

  • Pottery.
This guy was so personable. He made pottery and explained what we were doing. It was so awesome to watch him do his thing. Here are a few pictures o' his pottery-making.
His pottery stand/seat thing.

No Electricity, he used his foot to spin the wheel.

Forming the pot with his hands.

See...it's becoming a pot.

Me with my caramel apples.

Lots o' CARAMEL!!!

The End o' Hartslog Day...Adam was exhausted!

10.1--New Car

So, when I was in the hospital in the end o' June and beginning o' July, Ace sold our Navy Blue, Chevy Silvarado. To replace it, we got this truck, Chevy S10, obviously Maroon. It's a TON smaller than the old Silvarado, but it's perfect for us.

The New-To-Us, Maroon, Chevy S10.

The Front View...
The license plate is no longer there.

9.31--Half Birthday

So, Ace has never in his life heard o' a half birthday! Can you believe that? Half birthdays are probably one o' my favorite thing, mainly because there is cake, cupcakes, or some form o' food that is involved!! Also, family is my favorite, so I love it. Anyway, I'd actually forgotten about my half birthday and here's what happened!
Ace surprised me with presents!!

PRETZELS are my favorite!!

He got me a MOVIE!!

Mark Wahlberg is my other favorite!

An Oreo Pie, shaped in a heart!
(Insert "aww" here!)

I Love this GUY!!

9.29--Surgery Day

For those o' you that may not know what was going on, this surgery was a get-it-done-STAT surgery. They told me that I had let the stricture go, and they scheduled me for surgery the following week. They also told me that this would be something that they may need to do if my Crohn's Disease continues to have it's "normal flares."

The Procedure: They went in and cut where the stricture was and then stretched it open. You can see from the picture below that it was swollen really tight, and you can also see all the redness from the inflammation and the flare. They also took 4 biopsies, which the results should be back in 7-10 days.
Stricture Picture...Haha, I'm so good!

My Surgical Report.

I love the part where it says, "Avoid making critical decisions or signing legal documents for 24 hours." Also says, "Rest!"
My favorite part o' the surgical report.

My Resting "Spot".
My couch is so incredibly comfortable.
I'm so very thankful for two wonderful friends that really helped me out during this awful time. Stephen and Steph Fisher...they stopped over to visit, which was HUGE for me because I couldn't go anywhere or do anything. We watched a few movies and just talked. Stephen took me to get my medication and some other things...he even took me to get some Chai Tea (to which I added 1/2 a container o' sugar!) at Standing Stone Coffee. I love friends!
